Your First Visit: What to Expect
As a new patient, we welcome you to our office and look forward to getting to know you as a member of our “dental family”. We hope that you will look forward to your routine dental care visits with us and enjoy the many benefits of a healthy, vibrant smile.
During your initial visit, you will meet our staff, tour our office and have a personal consultation with Dr. Sousa. This provides the opportunity to discuss any concerns or goals you may have about your dental health or the appearance of your smile. Feeling anxious? We will work with you if you have a fear of the dentist or would like to restore your oral health. Dr. Sousa also offers dental sedation for your comfort. Dr. Sousa will perform a dental exam to screen for gum disease, tooth decay, oral cancer and evaluate the function of your bite. If problems are mentioned or found, a personal treatment plan will be offered for your consideration.
If time allows, a dental cleaning with one of our experienced dental hygienists will complete the visit. As we get to know you, we strive to provide dental care and oral hygiene advice tailored to your needs and risk factors.
Please bring with you:
- Form of identification
- Dental insurance card if applicable
- Any recent dental records if available to you
- Your smile!
