Dental Implants What to Expect
The first step in the dental implant process is an evaluation of your dental health with Dr. Sousa. If he determines you qualify for dental implants, Dr. Sousa will create a personalized treatment plan to replace your missing teeth.
All phases of your implant procedure will be performed in our East Hills, NY area dentist office. We offer local anesthetic for your comfort and sedation dentistry for patients who have dental anxiety or prefer to be completely relaxed.
The next step is the surgical placement of the implant post into your jaw bone. The implant sits just below the gum line. It will take about 3-6 months to heal and completely fuse with the jaw bone.
